Bringing work on holidays
So, apparently, we work too hard. That's why we have annual leave, that's why we go on holidays.
However, according to the Stayz Holiday Habits Report, almost 40% of Australians actually take their work along on holidays with us!
“There are obviously a number of holiday-goers who are struggling to find a work life balance,” Stayz Group marketing director Ali Cassim said.
“On one hand, Aussies know they need a holiday to relax and unwind from the stresses of everyday life; however, with a high proportion of people working while on holidays, holiday-goers are putting themselves back into the stressful lifestyle they’re trying to escape from.”

We all have laptops, tablet computers, phones that can read emails now. It is simply too easy to get on the network and start checking your emails.
I admit, a long time ago when I was working for a large IT corporation I often did take my laptop with me and work through the nights in my hotel room. It was too easy to be distracted when you are constantly worried about the project deadline and the email from your boss about a delayed report.
Now, I still work on my holidays, but hey, it's necessary. How else am I suppose to update you on all my adventures? Writing is my second work after all!
