And finally travelling again
Yes, I have been a little slack. Sorry. But without actually going somewhere it's even hard to write about previous trips. I am struggling.
However this coming weekend I'll be travelling again. *yay* I am going along to Rotorura in New Zealand with work as part of an award function, and I get to do lots of stuff! The itinerary is jam packed with activities including visiting a Maori village and getting into one of those crazy plastic balls to roll down the hill with.
I have been to New Zealand before, as per some of my previous posts last year I took a 10 day self-drive trip with a friend around the South Island. The scenery was beautiful and people were amazing. We didn't get to see North Island so I am glad this this trip is going to be North. Unfortunately it'll only be over 3 days so it'll centre around Rotorura where they want us to be. At least it'll give me an insight into the area and plan my next NZ trip.
So finally I'll have the motivation to write again. Sorry, again.
A couple more plans is that my parents are thinking about taking a quick family trip somewhere before my mum's major surgery. We were thinking Bali but we realised between the actual surgery and my movements in March we will only have 3 nights to spend, so now we are thinking either Tasmania or Fiji. Then I am thinking about taking another week off to go somewhere myself to have a bit of ME time.
So, more photos and stories will come. Soon enough!

My Turn
Rotorua smells like rotten eggs, from all the volcanic activity, but you get used to it after a while. It can be chilly but the ground is hot. Lie on the grass in any park and you will know what I mean.
Visit Hells Gate and take a mud bath sooo good for your skin. There are places that will charge you a lot of money but there is somewhere you can do it for free or cheaply. Can';t remenber what its called but will try and find out.
Hope you enjoy it.. Looking forward to reading what you think of the area!
