The String is on the move
I am finally packing again, after a month's absence (work, assignments and personal life are just excuses, I simply got lazy) I will be flying to Bangkok tomorrow to attend a friend's wedding.
It has been quite an adventurous year, cramming Hong Kong, Bali and Thailand within a six months period with a few domestic destinations in between, however never had my travels been uncertain. With the terrible flooding in Thailand (all these poor people dying, losing their houses and possessions being swept away) and then with the Qantas industrial strike, I just hope I eventually get there.
I had planned a few days free from the wedding to see Bangkok's surroundings, however the flood will be keeping me in Bangkok for the entire stay. Which won't be bad, I need the sleep anyway, and it'll also give me a chance to research all things local for our proper Thailand trip in December.
So, have just checked in online, and the next you hear from me, I'll be reporting from Bangkok.
