Newcastle is still hot

I have had a few people raising their eye brows at me when they read that I actually enjoyed being in Newcastle, as per my blog post Newcastle is # 9.

Since then I've read a few articles in the papers about Newcastle, including weekend's travel section -> Hot City, Cool Life [SMH.com.au]

See, I wasn't so crazy after all!

Newcastle is an easy trip from Sydney, and can easily be explore in 1-2 days. We stayed at the Ibis in Newcastle, between Wickham and Civic train stations. The price is good, and the free Newcastle CBD buses makes it easy to get around to the beach and to the trendy Darby Street.
