Finding home in every corner of the world

There are Aussies everywhere. Well, at least there are signs of them, and if not, at least we know the world loves us. Just look around next time you travel - we are not hard to miss.

Although, we seem to be a little mis-interpreted. Not only are almost everything Aussie we see have something to do with alcohol (an alcoholic nation? surely not! ) - and not only that - FOSTERS? Will someone please take that stuff off the shelves and serve some real beer?

Aussie in Brussels
There we are: In Brussels (Belgium) - although I am not sure when we started becoming famous for ice cream?

Aussie in Florence
... and in Florence, Italy (had to blur the face because it's not mine!)

Aussie in Venice
... and still in Italy - the water city Venice this time.

Aussie in Metz
and then the kangaroo hopped itself to Metz (France)

Aussie in Vienna
Aussie Pub in Vienna, Austria - bring on da grog!

Aussie food in Vienna
Still in Vienna - the International Food Festival we had a stand - sold roo meat, croc meat and the good old sausage sizzle with a couple of choices of Australian wine

Austrian humour
You'll find this in any souvenir shop in Austria - yep, I've checked, there really weren't any kangaroos around

Australia Day
It was the only choice we had to celebrate Australia Day in Germany....

The bloody kiwis
The kiwis are jealous. This is the 'currency exchange rate' and the tag next to our flag reads: "We reluctantly except this currency from the small islands to the west of us. Once again a deal can be struck to get rid of your Aussie $ before it is absorbed by the N.Z. $"

Save water; Drink beer
Oh, ok so this is not exactly 'Australian' but I can't help it - we've been talking about saving water right? Well, here is our solution right before our eyes!!!

What a fabulous array of Aussie images, Amy. Did you visit all these places yourself?
I am horribly jealous

There is also an "Australian" fudge shop in every town in the Netherlands, where they sell fudge with Aboriginal images printed onto them. I should send you that photo to add to your collection!
