Travelling? Coming right up.
They do say the best way to reduce post-travel stress and tension is to start booking your next holiday.
So that's what I am doing. I have been doing some research into prices for my next-next trip, which will be Easter/Anzac holidays (NSW dates) in 2011.
Did you know that we get 5 consecutive public holidays in a row next year for NSW? 22 April is Good Friday, 25 April is Easter Monday and of course, is also Anzac Day which means we also get 26 April off in-lieu.
Perfect isn't it?
Airfares for April 2011 are still at regular prices, as current specials only goes to 31 March 2011 at the latest date. So it isn't the best time to book for April just yet (Check my blog Travel Debate on The Best Time to Book Travel) but it always helps to have an idea so that when a deal comes up you know if they are a good deal or not.
So far, I've looked into Philipines, Vietnam, Alice Spring and Ayers Rock, Bali and the Whitsunday Islands. I like a variety of domestic and international options just for a choice and budgeting purposes. For all these destinations I've looked at their airfares, and checked out the costs of accommodation and living. So far, all of them will come under $4000 for 10 days for 2 people, which is perfect.
Early Bird airfares starts to come out in November for any post-April travels for the next year. You would have noticed lately there are plenty of early bird cruising and touring offers. Airfares are not as quick with their early bird fares because the airline system doesn't allow looking into dates more than 10 months in advance. So in November, I'll be checking all the airlines and what they offer, and make a judgement on what would be the best option for us.
I am just following my own rule of booking one holiday period ahead in advance
We've already got our Christmas holidays sorted. Perhaps you would like to know what you'll be reading about over Christmas and New Years?
