So, back in Bangkok again
We arrived yesterday on a night flight out of Sydney. Once again, we stayed the first night in a nearby cheap airport hotel before heading into the city for our 'nicer' hotel.
We are really lucky. Back in March, deals.com.au ran a deal for the Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok for $399 for 3 nights, which included accommodation, breakfast daily, in room internet, one high tea for two, complimentary drinks for two and a gift from their gallery shop.
So that is where I am today. I am absolutely smitten with the hotel, but I will have to tell you about that later in a hotel review version
This is my second time in Bangkok so I was not eager to do any sightseeing. Will was also feeling the effect of high humidity a little so all we did was visit markets and shopping malls. Tomorrow is a big day, we'll be visiting a floating market, go up the river to the Palace and Wat Pho and check out the infamous Khao San Road.
So, let the adventure begin!
