What I heard about Antarctica...
My sister is back, with a couple of souvenirs and a whole camera full of pictures.
I have asked her to write something up, so hopefully I can put up some personal accounts of her trip. From what I've heard from her - it had been an amazing experience.
They spent 3-4 days at sea, sailing through some of the world's toughest conditions at the Drake Passage. Everyone got a little sea sick but armed with medication and good service from the crew, everyone got by.
They visited some of the outer islands of Antarctica before finally setting foot on the Antarctic continent. Saw lots of penguines and visited some of the research stations.
Here are just a sample of the photos - I'll nag her for more.
